HYPERACTIVE HERBERT

Herbertalus cocanieum

Habitat: deep open waters near seafloor

Diet: coral, cocaine

Length: 9 cm

Hyperactive Herberts are a biological marvel in that they naturally produce a powerful stimulant almost chemically identical to cocaine inside of their bodies. They use their immense speed to dodge predators, weaving between rocks and coral on the seafloor. Adolescent dolphins have been known to seek out these fish to use as a recreational drug.
